(ANSA) - MILAN, 22 JAN - The Welfare Directorate General of the Lombardy Region has launched an internal inspection at the Galeazzi Orthopedic Institute in Milan after the case of the postponement of interventions to some patients without a 'super green pass', therefore not vaccinated against Covid, at the disposal of the virologist and medical director of the FabrizioPregliasco facility.
The dispatch of inspectors, as confirmed by the Welfare Department led by Letizia Moratti, was arranged to "gather information" and "soon" the hospital will also have to produce a report.
In recent days, Pregliasco explained that "non-urgent interventions, such as hallux valgus" which involve patients with frailty, including those without a reinforced screen, had been postponed.
And this "to protect the patients themselves, given the epidemiological situation which sees an exponential increase in new cases of Covid-19 in the population".
On the case the dg Welfare is "carrying out checks to deepen and understand".
