(ANSA) - ROME, JANUARY 22 - At least 10 people were injured after a 6.6 magnitude earthquake that hit south-western Japan this morning: local authorities have reported this, according to reports from the Japanese news agency Kyodo News noting that there is no tsunami warning.
The quake occurred at a depth of 45 km and affected the prefectures of Miyazaki and Oita on the island of Kyushu in the Pacific Ocean, which is home to the Aso volcano, the most active in the country.
Six of the injured were reported to Oita and four others, including a woman in her fifties who fell out of bed, in Miyazaki.
