Razi Barkai is retiring from presenting the program "What's Burning" in Glatz.
The journalist and media man informed Gali Altstein, the IDF's commander of the IDF, of his desire to resign from directing the program when he submitted it.
Barkai, a veteran presenter on Gali Tzahal, will say goodbye to the listeners in the near future in a farewell edition, which will mark 27 years in which he broadcast the strip.
In the near future, a joint effort will be made, with Barkai continuing to broadcast on the station in a different format.
Barkai, winner of the 2002 Sokolov Prize, has held the microphone for more than 50 years.
From 1970 to 1993, he served as a political and political correspondent for the Voice of Israel, as a radio broadcaster in Washington, DC, and as a presenter and founder of the "Everything Talks" program.
In 1993 he joined Gali Tzahal and two years later began broadcasting the daily program "Ma Buram".
Barkai said: "At the end of 27 years in which I submitted 'Ma Bo'ar, I reached my full potential and announced my desire to retire from submitting the plan.
I am very grateful to the listeners and dedicated staff who have been my traveling companions for many years. '
Acting Glatz headquarters said: "Ma Bo'ar is a radio station, and Razi Barkai, as the person who led it, shaped the public and journalistic agenda in Israel for many years.
On a personal level, I have had the privilege of working with Razi as the director of the news department, and in recent months as the station's commander.
I value him as a journalist, as a media person and as a person. '
