Mykonos and other islands of the Cyclades, in Greece, woke up this morning covered by snow, a very rare phenomenon in these Aegean islands, a famous destination for international summer tourism.
Photos taken on beaches such as Psarou, Super Paradise and Elia immediately appeared on Greek social media and media.
The whole of Greece is affected by bad weather, with snowfalls, strong winds and very low temperatures brought by the Elpis disturbance, local forecasters say, who predict snowfall almost everywhere - including the southern island of Crete - from today to Tuesday.
