Accused of sexual assault on minors by one of Jeffrey Epstein's victims, Virginia Giuffre, the Duke of York finds himself at the heart of new charges.

Meghan Markle was no exception.

In 2018, the

Times

revealed that the Duchess of Sussex was the subject of a complaint of harassment against assistants at Buckingham Palace.

A few years later and already in the turmoil of a trial for sexual assault, it is the turn of prince Andrew to be the subject of the same accusations.

According to information from the

Sunday Mirror,

Paul Page, former royal policeman from 1998 to 2004, claimed to have "personally filed three separate complaints" against the Duke of York, while he was still in office, for acts of harassment and bullying.

The latter assured that twelve other work colleagues accused the son of Queen Elizabeth II of the same abuse.

“The Palace faces a problem because there are cases and evidence that Prince Andrew is bossy and verbally abusive,” he continued.

These twelve accusations would notably follow the documentary

Ghislaine, Prince Andrew and the pedophile

, produced by ITV and broadcast on January 18 on the British channel.

The program, devoted to the links between Ghislaine Maxwell, the Duke of York and Jeffrey Epstein, accused of sexual assault on minors and died in August 2019 in his prison cell, having released the word of the victims.

Paul Page reveals in particular the collection of teddy bears of Prince Andrew – between 50 to 60 toys, and evokes the obsessive behavior he had with these objects.

The latter "not hesitating to shout, even to scream" if they were ever dirty.

A laminated photo of the location of the stuffed animals was, for example, given to the cleaning ladies, so that they could put them back in their respective positions.

"Everyone knew he was awful"

A few days after the documentary, Charlotte Briggs, one of them, testified in turn to the

Mirror

.

Prince Andrew's former maid, who worked for him in 1996, recalled the humiliating and degrading job he made her do, recalling a tantrum.

“There were two of us and we worked in rotation from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., then later in the evening.

We had to unfold his bed, remove his stuffed animals, close the curtains, prepare his pajamas.

He was a little lazy and called from his office to say, "Can you send the maid to close the curtains?"

They were literally behind him, but he refused to get up to close them himself.

And to add: “Andrew thinks he is above everyone”.

That said, Charlotte Briggs ensures on the contrary that the former companion of Sarah Ferguson was the only one with this attitude: “Everyone knew he was horrible.

I've worked with all the other royals and they're really nice.

Avoid commotion

According to Paul Page, complaints made while he was working for the palace were ignored to 'avoid unrest'.

But now that they add up, the former guard ensures that an investigation should open soon.

"Buckingham Palace launched an investigation into bullying against Meghan last year after she was accused of wrongdoing," he said at the time.

Case to follow.
