How much hatred does one have to have when one shoots oneself to blame one's own son for the crime? The audience saw exactly this cruel scenario on Sunday in the “crime scene”: Inspector Schürk was temporarily paralyzed by his father, who was suffering from cancer, with the toxic substance of a poison frog and had to listen to the old man’s diabolical plan, which he then implemented with perfidious precision . A final beacon of contempt and anger that made the inspector the prime suspect.
In our review we wrote: »There are a number of individual dramaturgical weaknesses in ›The Heart of the Snake‹;
despite the greater presence, the female colleagues are still only cues for the male main characters, and the side-story of a burglar network seems constructed.
The family drama, however, is spread out with long, cold, Old Testament-like breath.
The father, the son and the holy frustration: The anger and irascibility between the generations deeply inscribed in the plot makes the most daring turns of events seem believable.
And from the terrarium in my father's apartment, a snake and a poisonous frog are watching the biblical battle between old and young.«

Inspector actor Vladimir Burlakov has just passed his free time filming a comedy for ARD: In "How to Dad" he plays one of four young fathers who meet at their preschool daughters' ballet class and talk about their teacher bankruptcy and - replace glitches.
The series will be available in the ARD media library in the course of the year.
