A 5.3 magnitude earthquake occurred in Haiti, killing at least two people in the southwest of the country.
The local civil protection has specified that the victims are two men.
One of them died in Anse-à-Veau, a coastal town 130 km west of the capital Port-au-Prince following the collapse of a wall, while the second died from a landslide in the municipality of Fond-des-Nègres, 20 km further south.
The quake was felt all the way to the capital and was followed by a dozen reruns, including a 5.1-magnitude aftershock less than an hour later.
Haiti's southwestern peninsula had already been devastated on August 14 by a powerful 7.2 magnitude earthquake that killed over 2,200 people and destroyed over 130,000 homes.
