Düsseldorf/Munich - Salmonella in chicken breast fillets: The department store chain Real has recalled frozen chicken breast fillets after the pathogens were found in a single sample.
"If the product is not processed in accordance with the hygiene and preparation instructions given on the packaging, this can lead to health problems such as gastrointestinal problems," the company announced on Monday in Düsseldorf regarding the recall.
Specifically, it is about the product "TiP chicken breast fillet with 8 percent liquid seasoning, unbreaded, 500 g" with EAN 4335718172883, the best-before date September 10th, 2022 and the batch number 049501003431. Other best-before dates and batch numbers are not affected.
Buyers of the fillets can return the goods and then get a refund of the purchase price.
Consumption of the affected products is strongly discouraged, health damage may occur.
