Legendary US folk musician Bob Dylan has sold the rights to all of his recordings to music giant Sony Music Entertainment.
The agreement also applies to "future new releases," said Sony.
A purchase price was not mentioned, the industry magazine "Variety" wrote from 150 to 200 million dollars (132 to 176 million euros).
According to Sony, the agreement was concluded last July, but it has only now become public.
The Nobel Prize winner for literature has been working with Sony Music's label Columbia Records for more than 50 years.
"I'm glad all my recordings can stay where they belong," Dylan was quoted as saying.
The singer-songwriter signed a contract with Columbia Records in 1961 and released his debut album »Bob Dylan« there.
His greatest successes include songs like "Blowin' in the Wind" or "Knockin' On Heaven's Door".
At the end of 2020, Dylan had sold the author's rights to his songs - i.e. the rights to the melodies and lyrics, not the finished recordings - to the world's largest music group Universal Music for an estimated around $ 300 million.
There is a real hype about the rights to the music of well-known artists, numerous artists such as Taylor Swift, Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks, Paul Simon or Tina Turner have also concluded rights deals in recent months.
