(ANSA) - OUAGADOUGOU, JANUARY 24 - Shots were heard yesterday in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, near the residence of President Roch Marc Christian Kaboré.
According to reports from some residents, the victims were shot from some nearby houses.
A helicopter, lights out, flew over the Patte d'Oie district where the residence is located.
Almost simultaneously, residents of the Sangoulé Lamizana and Baba Sy military camps in the capital of Burkinabe also heard high-intensity gunshots.
A riot of military has risen in various locations in Burkina Faso to demand the resignation of the army chiefs and "appropriate means" to fight the jihadists who infest the country.
Throughout the day, demonstrators gave their support to the rebels and set up makeshift checkpoints in various streets of the capital, before being dispersed by the police.
