Freshly validated on Friday by the Elders of the Constitutional Council, the system officially comes into force on Monday in the country.

It will strongly constrain the daily life of the non-vaccinated, whom the executive intends to push to receive the injection.

They are less than 5 million in the country to have so far refused to be bitten.

As of today, non-vaccinated people over the age of 16 will therefore no longer be able to go to a restaurant or a bar, take the TGV or interregional trains, go to the cinema, the theatre, the stadium...

On the other hand, they will be able to go to a health establishment for a consultation or to visit a relative, on presentation of a health pass validated by a negative test.

Provisions are made for people recently infected or those entering the vaccination process.

• A coup in Burkina Faso?

  The events that took place at the end of the day on Sunday left room for doubt: heavy shooting near the presidential residence of Roch Marc Christian Kaboré, in the capital Ouagadougou, and mutinies in several military barracks. Hours pass and the prospect of a coup seems to take shape. According to RFI, the Burkinabé president was arrested overnight. He has since been kept in detention in a military camp by mutineers.
