Kassel – After the dreary weather* in January, more and more people are longing for spring, sun and green nature.

According to the meteorologist Georg Haas from Wetter.com, these people could soon be happy: It should be warmer.

The reason for this is a change in the jet stream caused by climate change.

This could cause a southerly flow as early as February and give us spring-like temperatures.

This is a "clear signal that it could possibly be really green by the end of February".

According to the current state of knowledge, March also has positive deviations from the norm.

However, a change in the weather may be expected in April.

According to Wetter.com, the weather situation could slowly change again, resulting in a flow of cold air from the north.

Accordingly, after the warm onset of spring, a cold setback with wintry temperatures could follow.

The weather maps of the ECMWF model do not show any positive temperature deviations for April.

Attention gardeners and farmers: The risk of crop and plant damage is then very high.
