"The Stewardess" is a crime comedy based on a book by American author Chris Boehlian.

Kwoko plays Cassie Bowden, a reckless alcoholic flight attendant who drinks regularly during the flights and has transient affair with the passengers she meets on the plane.

Cassie's permissive and comfortable life is completely disrupted when one day she wakes up in a hotel in Bangkok with no memory of the previous night, and is horrified to find a dead man in the bed next to her.

As the FBI begins investigating what happened in Thailand, it begins to flashbacks that remind it of details from that day, and she wonders if she had a hand in what happened.

Alongside her star in the series Zosha Mamet ("Girls"), Rosie Perez ("Fearless") and Tee.

Knight ("Grey's Anatomy").

"The Stewardess" airs in the U.S. on HBO Max, and has been renewed for another season. The series has been nominated for two Golden Globe Awards and nine Emmy Awards, including in the Best Comedy Series categories and the lead actress in a comedy series for Kwoko - who also serves as one of the main producers. The Big One, which ran for 12 seasons and was the most-watched comedy series in the U.S. for many years, made Kwoko, 36, one of the favorite TV stars and one of the highest-paid in the industry.

At the height of "The Big Bang" she earned a million dollars per episode.

Prior to her breakout, she starred in series such as "8 Simple Rules" and "Enchanted," and in movies such as "A Million Ways to Die," "Bridesmaid for Rent" and "Why He Is?"

In an online panel to promote "The Stewardess," Kwaku said: "In recent years I have started looking for projects to produce. All sorts of suggestions and books that came to my desk were not interesting enough, but when I came across the book 'The Stewardess' - I lit a single line I read. I loved the book, even though I haven't really read it yet. "

"This is a role that is every actress' dream. She's a flawed character who has a roller coaster of complications in her life, but she has a golden heart and power. She's a fun woman to play. After so many years in a comedy series filmed in a studio in front of a live audience, I wanted to try "Something a little darker but also comical. This is the first time I was a producer and took part in the creative side. It changed my whole career. Now I'm one of the decision makers and I study all the time."

Kwoko further said that she is naturally drawn to comedy series.

"I've always loved comedies, I loved people bursting out laughing. I watched from childhood sitcoms like 'My Beloved Lucy.' Not taking yourself seriously is an art. The new series has a lot of Kylie. "I'm still doing comedy, but it's different. There are moments of drama and suspense, there are action scenes. It was new to me. I continue on a familiar and beloved journey, just in a new car."
