Even today it is smoked black.

The agreement between the political forces is not even on the second day of voting by the big voters.

Today the center-right has formalized the candidacies of the former president of the Senate Marcello Pera, the former mayor of Milan Letizia Moratti and the former magistrate Carlo Nordio.

"They are quality names, we will evaluate them", Enrico Letta said conciliatively for the Democratic Party.

"We will evaluate them but the center-right has no right of first refusal", the leader of the Five stars Giuseppe Conte replied more curtly.

The feeling is that it is still an obligatory step to take time while confidentially seeking an agreement between the two sides that can lead to a real name.

So much so that that of Elisabetta Casellati, president of the Senate, is not included in the list, as if the center-right wants to keep an institutional figure in reserve.

We are still waiting for the center-left to decide in turn on a possible list of names at the end of the summit scheduled for tonight between Letta himself, Giuseppe Conte and Roberto Speranza.

But it is always Giuseppe Conte who places a further stake in the strong name, that of Mario Draghi, explaining with an effective metaphor that never before is government stability needed: "we have entrusted to the helmsman a ship that is still in difficulty but the conditions are not right. to change and the helmsman cannot leave ". In this difficult context, after the center-right has shown itself compact in indicating the triad, Enrico Letta seems to want to dampen some suspicions circulating in Montecitorio about the possibility that Conte may have confidential and parallel negotiations with Matteo Salvini: "we intend to move in agreement with the allies. I trust Conte, without any doubt ", he assures in Transatlantic besieged by journalists.

Pier Ferdinando Casini remains at the window who today does not hide his expectation by posting a photo of him when he was very young on a stage: "political passion is my life", recalled the former president of the Chamber.

and it seemed like a message to the big voters who are voting.
