The Covid-19 is still there in France.
501,635 new contaminations were confirmed in 24 hours on Tuesday in the country, where for the first time more than 500,000 positive cases are therefore identified in 24 hours – these contaminations correspond in large part to tests carried out on Monday.
The average over the past week is close to 370,000 cases per day, with 366,179 contaminations recorded, while the number of positive cases recorded in 24 hours is 7.9% higher than that recorded last Tuesday (464,769), according to the latest data from Public Health France.
The number of hospitalizations on the rise, serious cases on the decline
The number of hospitalized patients (30,189) rose above the 30,000 mark for the first time since the end of April.
In detail, 18,044 people are hospitalized in conventional care (+ 15% in one week), 7,557 in follow-up and rehabilitation care (+ 23%), 847 in other services (psychiatry, dedicated services) and 3,741 in critical healing (-4%), where the decline continues.
On Monday, 3,776 patients were hospitalized in these departments (380 patients have been admitted there in the past 24 hours).
The number of patients diagnosed with #Covid19 in hospital is back above 30,000, for the first time since the end of April:

In addition, 364 deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours, bringing to at least 101,787 the number of people who have died of Covid-19 in hospital in France since the start of the pandemic.
