There were many tears of excitement yesterday (Tuesday) at the synagogue at Beilinson Hospital as Einav Etadegi and Alex S. celebrated their baby son's covenant.
Einav, who contracted Corona and was in critical condition, was disconnected for the first time this week from the Acme device to which she was attached for more than a month and a half, when she was in danger of death.
Etadegi, 37, was hospitalized in Beilinson on Dec. 10 in the 37th week of her pregnancy.
She was not vaccinated, contracted corona and was in critical condition.
She gave birth by caesarean section, after which she was hospitalized in the Corona maternity ward.
Following a further aggravation of her condition due to breathing difficulties, it was decided to transfer her to the Corona Intensive Care Unit, and after her condition continued to deteriorate, a booklet for the Acmo device, which replaces the activity of the heart and lungs until they recover.
For six weeks, Beilinson's medical staff fought for her life, until yesterday she recovered and was disconnected from the Acme device.
Husband Alex said excitedly: "I want to thank Beilinson Hospital, and especially the amazing staff of the General Intensive Care Unit headed by Prof. Pierre Singer, thanks to whom I was able to observe our son's covenant while his mother was disconnected from the Acme device, after more than 40 days. "Exciting for us, and we look forward to Einav's recovery and return home."
Prof. Pierre Singer, director of general intensive care at Beilinson of the Clalit Group, who was a guest of honor at the alliance, said: "The corona continues to surprise us, and despite a long period of treatment in Acme patients are able to return to life."
