(ANSA) - AGRIGENTO, 25 JAN - There are seven victims of the last landing of 280 migrants, mostly from Bangledesh and Egypt, which took place during the night in Lampedusa.
Three corpses were found on the boat, by the soldiers of the Guardia di Finanza and the Port Authority, at the time of the rescue.
Four other migrants died shortly before arriving on the mainland.
All would die from hypothermia.
The boat had been spotted about 24 miles off the coast of Lampedusa when the rescue was triggered.
