(ANSA) - LONDON, JAN 25 - British Prime Minister Boris Johnson believes "entirely right" the decision of Scotland Yard to open a preliminary investigation into the so-called Party scandal of the gatherings organized in Downing Street between 2020 and 2021 in suspected violation of the anti Covid rules at the time in force, unveiled at a delayed burst in the media.
A spokesman for Downing Street said, adding that the premier, his staff and the Tory government intend to "cooperate fully".
The spokesperson, on the other hand, has not evoked any hypothesis of steps backwards on the part of Johnson, making it clear that for the moment he appears determined to try to resist again.
