“The Angels, the meeting”.
It's only a code name, but you can see the idea.
According to our information, La Grosse Équipe, at the origin of the cult format of NRJ 12 which propelled Nabilla to the front of the stage with its famous "No but hello what" then was bought by Arthur, wishes to surf on the trend of Moment: bringing together key characters from notable programs, such as "Friends" and "Harry Potter" recently.
The initiative comes from Fabrice Sopoglian, who held the role of godfather of the different seasons of the “Angels”, by facilitating the meetings of the candidates with bosses, producers, chefs and multiple artists.
In detail, it plans to bring together in a house in Los Angeles, where it all began in January 2011, around twenty emblematic participants, with entries and exits.
On his list, Jazz Correia, 29 years old and 3.8 million subscribers on Instagram, who intervenes in “JLC Family”, a reality show about his family broadcast on TFX.
As well as the cook Benjamin Kahlifa (ex-"Top chef"), Amélie Neten, noticed in "Secret Story" just like Ayem Nour or Rémi Notta.
The production would also like to convince Loana to be part of it and of course Nabilla Vergara, who has been starring in the Amazon Prime documentary series "Nabilla: Without Filter" since the end of November.
Some faces passed by this reality show have already been approached.
10 years of antenna
Unlike a usual season, the objective would not be to launch their career. Rather to unfold the success of each of them. An opportunity to recall strong memories, even to settle a few scores. Also with surprises, American guests and a trip to Las Vegas to close 10 years on the air. It is still necessary that this special edition interests NRJ 12.
The twelfth and final season of "Angels" fell below the 200,000 viewers mark in 2020 and less than 2% audience share, far from the record of the fifth edition in 2013. That year, NRJ 12 posted 900,000 fans on average, or 7.3% of the public.
The channel has not, moreover, renewed the contract of La Grosse Équipe, stopped at the end of 2021 after the fiasco of the series “Influences”, some episodes of which gathered zero viewers in access prime time.
This leaves the possibility of doing better.
Contacted, the channel does not wish to comment.
