The Supreme Court of the state of New York rejects the requirement of masks imposed by Governor Kathy Hochul in schools and public places

According to Judge Thomas Rademaker, the governor does not have the authority to impose such an obligation without the state's legislative green light.
"There is no doubt that each of us hopes that the Covid era will end soon. Even though Governor Hochul's intentions are dictated by what appears to be a willingness to protect the citizens of the state of New York," the mandate does not it can be enforced and the governor must address "state legislators," the judge says.
