(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, 25 JAN - The Marines have strengthened security at the US embassy in Keiv against the backdrop of growing tensions with Moscow.
This was reported by CNN, citing one of their high officials who, however, did not specify their number.
According to data from the Pentagon, up to 30 September there were 30 marines stationed in Ukraine, almost all - if not all - guaranteeing the security of the American diplomatic headquarters.
In recent days, the State Department has recommended that families and non-essential diplomatic personnel leave the country.
