Elton John has contracted the coronavirus

The British pop star Elton John had to postpone several concerts in the USA because of a corona disease.
The 74-year-old singer made his infection public on Instagram on Tuesday.
"Fortunately I am fully vaccinated and boosted and my symptoms are mild."
Two concerts planned for Tuesday and Wednesday in Dallas, Texas, had to be postponed because the singer of hits like "Rocket Man" and "Your Song" tested positive for the corona virus.
"It's always a huge disappointment to have a concert postponed and I'm so sorry to anyone who's been inconvenienced by it," John wrote.
But he wants to ensure safety for himself and his team.
The singer said he was confident of being able to return to the stage at concerts on his farewell tour Farewell Yellow Brick Road in the US state of Arkansas this weekend.
Elton John has been on this tour since 2018.
Because of the corona pandemic, many appointments had to be postponed.
Most recently, the superstar also had to interrupt the concert series due to hip surgery.
