Has a way been found to predict which corona patients may suffer from long-term corona symptoms?
Researchers in Zurich have found that the answer to this question is probably positive and has to do with a blood deficiency of two significant antibodies.
Thanks to the findings, a way was first identified to provide advance assistance to people at high risk for long cube.
The study, conducted by researchers at the University of Zurich Hospital and published in the scientific journal Nature Communications, found a way to identify at 77 percent who among those with corona - with or without symptoms - are at high risk of developing coronary heart disease.
According to the study, these are people with low levels of the antibodies IgM and IgG3.
In the first stage of the corona, the amount of lgM antibodies increases in the body and later there is an appearance of the lgG3 antibodies.
These antibodies are part of a larger array of antibodies that exist in the body to fight various diseases and infections.
A blood-focused examination of people with long-coboid showed a low level of the two antibodies, compared to people who did not have long-term corona.
The researchers also found that asthma patients are also at high risk of developing lung cube.
"Our findings may not prevent a long-term corona outbreak but they are important because they identify in advance who is at increased risk. This way doctors can prepare with such a person and give him or her prior assistance against infections and symptoms that may develop, thus preventing them from appearing severely. Yes, future focused research may explain the connection and allow for new drugs for the problem, "says one of the study's leaders, Prof. Honor Boimann, an immunology expert.
Dr. Carlo Servia, co-author of the study, adds that "once a healthy person knows he has this deficiency in the blood it will be possible to help him by sending him in advance to get vaccinated, thus reducing the risk of suffering from long cob."
The importance of the study is that according to various estimates, a large percentage of those who recover from the corona virus carry damage from the disease for a period of one year.
Worse, the most acute symptoms of a long corona, which make it very difficult to return to routine, include shortness of breath, chronic fatigue, memory and neurological impairments, cough, loss of sense of taste and smell, diarrhea and chronic pain.
Also, patients suffering from long-term coronary heart disease may be more hospitalized later in life and experience cumulative damage from the disease.
