Marc Marquez has been authorized to return to the track with the new Honda RC213V in the Sepang tests on February 5th.
Over the past few weeks, Marquez has been continuously undergoing medical checks to monitor his diplopia (double vision).
In recent weeks, the improvement in his condition has seen the medical team consider his recovery sufficient to return to training on two wheels.
The Spaniard returned to a motocross track before testing the Honda RC213V-S in Portimao and a Honda CBR600RR in Aragon.
Last Monday Marquez underwent a further medical check that confirmed the success of the treatment he was subjected to, therefore the eight-time world champion is in a suitable condition to ride a MotoGP.
It was therefore decided that Marquez will start his season at the first official MotoGP test, in Sepang, before heading to Mandalika, Indonesia, the following week.
It is the first time that Marquez is back on a MotoGP since winning the 2021 Emilia Romagna GP, ahead of Pol Espargaro.
Marquez will be alongside Pol Espargaro.
