The former Miss Universe was asked to cover her shirt on the flight - because she's too revealing (INSTGRAM)

In the last year alone, Corona year with fewer flights and vacations abroad, we reported to you at least five cases where passengers (usually passengers) were asked to get off the plane - or were not allowed to board at all - because the stewards claimed they dressed inappropriately and offensively

. Earlier this month, former Miss Universe model Olivia Culpo was required by American Airlines to cover herself as the sports bra she wore to the flight was "too revealing."

Miss Universe was promised that if she did not cover her body, she would be forced to stay in the field and not fly with her sister, Aurora, and her partner, Christian McAfrey, to Cabo San Lucas.

A similar case happened to Sierra Steedman, who was asked to get off the Alaska Airlines flight because of her "inappropriate" attire and, like her predecessors, rushed to flood the network with the problem.

The New York Post tried to put an end to the repeated scandals - and to find out whether the major airlines in the US "

delta

Following an incident in 2017 in which United did not allow a group of young girls to board a flight because of the tights they wore, Delta took to Twitter to share that tights are completely allowed on flights: "Delta flight means comfort (that means you can wear tights)," she tweeted at the time. The company took to Twitter, before adding in response to a question: "We do not have a specific clothing policy by item, but we recommend not wearing swimwear, pajamas or underwear as outerwear."

However, there are higher expectations than those identified with the airline: "We ask our employees, family and friends to use their best judgment when deciding what to wear for a flight," a Delta spokesman told Travel + Leisure following the Olivia Kolpo incident.

Delta responded to the New York Post's request and presented its transportation contract, which states that "Delta may refuse to fly or remove passengers from its aircraft when the passenger's behavior, dress, hygiene or odor create an unreasonable risk of offense or nuisance to other passengers."

United Airlines

United made headlines in 2017 in an incident we talked about earlier.

The move sparked outrage on the net, with critics - including a host of Hollywood celebrities - accusing United of sexism and embarrassing women in public.

"United have humiliated them all. They are acting sexistly towards young women," eyewitness Shannon Watts told the Post after tweeting about that incident.

However, the company later clarified that it is allowed to wear tights on flights, when it tweeted: "To our customers ... your tights are welcome!".

JetBlue

"As is customary at airlines, JetBlue crew members, friends and relatives who fly with free airline tickets are asked to maintain certain standards of minimal attire and be groomed at all times," an airline spokesman told Travel + Leisure in a statement.

This includes masks: A couple was recently banned from flying JetBlue after they refused to wear masks and reacted violently to flight attendants on a flight to San Diego.

The airline said passengers were asked several times to wear their masks properly before takeoff, but these were ignored.

American Airlines

"As stated in the flight conditions, all customers must dress appropriately, with offensive clothing prohibited on board our aircraft," American Airlines vaguely revealed its attire policy after bodybuilder Dennis Seifiner blamed the company for banning it from boarding the flight for violating the dress code.

In response to the post's request for comment, the company spokesman referred to the airline's transportation conditions, which state that passengers are expected to "dress appropriately. Bare feet or offensive clothing are strictly prohibited."

Southwest

A Playboy model who flew with her 7-year-old son said she was "humiliated and embarrassed" by a Southwest Airlines flight attendant, who told her she could not fly in her "revealing" attire.

Eve J. Marie, who was on her way from Dallas to Tulsa, told Jem Press that the flight attendant required her to replace the "revealing shirt" she was wearing with another - because she was violating the airline's dress code.

"When they threatened to take me off the plane if I did not change my clothes, I felt completely humiliated, embarrassed and very hurt," the Instagram influencer said.

According to the network, the airline "may, in its sole discretion, refuse to fly - or remove from the flight at any stage - any passenger engaging in sexual conduct, obscene or offensive activity, including wearing revealing, obscene or abusive clothing."

Alaska Airlines

A passenger who claims to have been asked to get off the plane on the grounds that "her stomach is exposed" says she actually experienced discrimination because she is a "fat, tattooed woman with a mixed race." Ray Lynn Howard, 33, claims she was harassed by the Alaska Airlines Daily - and of course turned to Tiktok to tell about it in a video that went viral.

In the video, Howard can be seen escorted from the flight by police officers who continue to investigate her about the incident. She claims it all started when the Alaska Airlines crew "harassed" her about her attire, which included a t-shirt and biker pants.

Representatives of Alaska Airlines said in response to the Post: "We are in touch with the passenger. We are committed to finding out what happened and taking the appropriate action. Our goal is to provide a caring service to all our passengers. When we do not meet this goal, we do everything we can to fix it. ".

"The dress code, both in Alaska and Horizon, is standard, and the requirement is simply a neat and well-groomed appearance," the airline's website readily stated, "Dirty or tattered clothing and bare feet are never acceptable. You are expected to use discretion, and service agents "Our customers will have the final authority to refuse to board a passenger for a flight due to inappropriate clothing or appearance."

What about El Al?

And what's up with our national airline El Al?

Although the transport conditions listed on its website do not directly address a dress code or what is allowed and what is not allowed to be flown, it seems to be open to interpretation as it says that EL AL has the right to refuse to lead you or prevent you from traveling. "Inadvertently harms or insults other passengers, including conduct that may be described as sexual harassment; either in speech or conduct, driving in a manner that other passengers may reasonably oppose or have objected to or that your conduct is likely to cause unnecessary inconvenience or harassment to other passengers."

In addition, there is a prohibition on "causing any disruption, inconvenience or harassment to any of the passengers, including conduct in a manner that may be described as sexual harassment or use of language that can be described as sexual harassment, and will not behave in a way that other passengers may reasonably oppose or oppose."
