To justify his controversial treatment methods, Prof. Amos Rolider yesterday used the phrase "My educational approach sanctifies education to the values of respect, by combining boundless love with providing clear boundaries for children."
It is not by chance that the professor emphasized the values of honor;
Rolider considers respect a supreme value.
Investigations about him have found that he reacted aggressively towards patients who did not respect him, and when the "real-time" program here 11 does not respect twice in half a year - it already really annoys the behavior specialist.
Last night (Wednesday) the investigative program of Here 11, "Real Time", aired its fifth season, and provided a second chapter in the investigation into the parenting guru.
Last time, the evidence focused on his work with injured children in the 1990s in Canada, and yesterday was added the shocking testimony of an Israeli mother and daughter that Rolider treated with the same aggressive methods.
The family paid hundreds of thousands of shekels for the process, and the victim testified to the devastating results in a broken voice.
In addition, facilitator Assaf Lieberman dismantled the Lt. Col. program, which Rolder devised for the Ministry of Education, and which was implemented in schools.
However, Rolider declined to appear for an interview at the studio, and also refrained from a routine written response.
Instead, he sent a videotaped monologue in which he made viewers gazlighting, explaining reality as we must accept it.
He stood alone in a bright room, spoke to us directly, did not look down for a moment and made sure to maintain continuous eye contact with the camera, while reciting a phrased response that attacked the show's editors, and in which there was an insult from the same disrespect towards him.
"Confirming the killing to the destruction of my professional name," Rolider called it, detailing the motives for blackening his name.
"They did it because my professional approach is successful, and it hurts them ... they did it because I became famous."
He went on to mention alternative facts that were not broadcast, but did not elaborate, did not provide any credible detail that would contradict the allegations made, and dismissed the new allegations ("A story that did not happen 25 years ago").
In conclusion he wondered: "The main thing is the ratings and the hell the truth?".
The truth is, this is the kind of case where the reaction of the subject of the investigation to an article about him tells the whole story.
