(ANSA) - MILAN, 27 JAN - In 2021, the European Investment Bank dedicated 30% of its resources in Italy to the fight against climate change.
This is what emerged during the press conference of the Bei vice president, Gelsomina Vigliotti, to illustrate the results of the group's activity in Italy in 2021 which saw funding for 13.5 billion euros.
With these funds, the Bank of the EU contributes to the development of renewable energies, the modernization of electricity grids, the energy efficiency of buildings, the construction of recycling plants and the development of sustainable mobility.
The EIB Group, consisting of the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Investment Fund (EIF), has continued to promote innovation and digital transformation as fundamental pillars for the competitiveness and future of Italian companies.
Funding for innovation, digitization and human development, key sectors for promoting the digital and ecological transition, reached a volume of € 3.062 billion in 2021 in Italy.
