Demonstrations everywhere in France to demand a rise in wages

Some 170 rallies and parades are planned for this Thursday at the call of the CGT, FO, FSU and Solidaires unions and youth organizations


They hope to do much better than October 5, when some 85,400 people according to the Ministry of the Interior (more than 160,000 according to the CGT) marched in the street during a day of interprofessional mobilization.

This Thursday, demonstrations are planned across France, at the call of trade unions and youth organizations, to demand wage increases, in a context marked by the resurgence of the issue of purchasing power. a few weeks before the presidential election.

Some 170 rallies and parades will take place at the call of the CGT, FO, FSU and Solidaires unions, according to Céline Verzeletti, CGT confederal leader.

In Paris, the demonstrators will meet around noon at Place de la Bastille for a “concert meeting”, during which the union leaders will speak, before setting off around 2 p.m. towards Bercy.

High school students should meet at Place de la Nation at 11 a.m.

In Ile-de-France, the social movement promises to be followed on the SNCF network which will be disrupted.

The RER B interconnection will not be provided at the Gare du Nord, where only one in three trains is scheduled for the northern branches.
