A tourist has been trampled to death by an elephant during a safari in Uganda.
This was reported by several media, including the British "Guardian" and "The Citizen" from Tanzania.
The man from Saudi Arabia was on a game drive in Murchison Falls National Park with several friends.
The attack happened when he got out of the vehicle.
"An elephant pounced on him and killed him on the spot," said a spokesman for the responsible park administration, according to the Guardian.
He went on to say, according to The Citizen: "We are saddened by this incident and extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
We will be working closely with the police to ensure this matter is fully investigated."
In addition, safety regulations would be reviewed to prevent such incidents from happening again.
"The safety of the people in our protected areas is our top priority," said the spokesman.
We appeal to the general public to be careful and not to put themselves in danger.
