The new device that is expected to alert you if there is a corona in your area
The corona is here to stay for years to come at least which makes many scientists try and find solutions to fight it, but also to identify and prevent it.
Researchers at Yale University have invented a small clip that sits on the garment and can detect the virus.
When will it reach us?

It sounds imaginary, just like a vaccine for corona in less than a year, but you may soon be able to get a wearable device that will help alert you to possible corona exposure.
Nowadays, we usually learn about exposure to the corona virus only when we find out that someone we have been in contact with is positive and went for a checkup or that we have symptoms.
Many countries have smartphone apps that can warn of possible exposure, but this requires people to join them.
The new device is expected to change that.
While not yet available to everyone, Yale University researchers have developed an easy-to-use device that can detect low levels of SARS-COV-2, the virus that causes corona, in the air, according to a study recently published in the online journal Environmental Science and Technology Letters.

Hitherto, large and expensive air sampling devices have been used to detect droplets of viruses in the air, usually from infected, coughing, sneezing, talking and breathing people.
In an effort to make air sampling more accessible, experts from Yale School of Engineering and Applied Science and the School of Public Health designed the Fresh Air Clip, a 2.5 cm 3D printed air sample that collects air samples on film inside the device in the shape of a tag. And all this without a source of power.

Yale researchers have developed the wearable device to detect the corona virus.
Its potential can help workers in high-risk settings, such as restaurants or hospitals, know when they are at risk.
"The Fresh Air Clip is a wearable device that can be used to assess exposure to SARS-CoV-2 in the air. With this clip we can detect virus levels that are much lower than the estimated infectious dose of SARS-CoV-2," said the research author and author.
