"Uncharted 5": Developers do not rule out a sequel

Treasure hunter Nathan Drake gave up the adventure life at the beginning of «Uncharted 4: A Thieve's End».

He prefers to enjoy family life with his Elena.

But then an unexpected visitor arrives.

The Uncharted series is actually over.

Among other things, the upcoming film has brought the game back into focus.

Can fans expect Uncharted 5?

The last game in the Uncharted series was released in 2016.

Since then there has been the independent follow-up game "Lost Legacy" in 2017. Nevertheless, the "Uncharted" fans are still waiting in vain for a fifth part.

In the meantime, however, the universe around the games is becoming more of a focus again.

And not least because of the upcoming blockbuster "Uncharted" with Tom Holland in the leading role.

The creative director at the responsible developer Naughty Dog, Shaun Escayg has a clear opinion on "Uncharted 5".

"I think it's safe to say that we can never say never.

But yes.

Uncharted is a franchise that we love - that the studio loves.

I love her and Kurt [Margenau] loves her.

It's a world we want to see more of.

So I can say that with certainty,” explains Escayg.

Maybe they are already in the process of developing the game.

While the film revolves around young Nathan Drake, the game could go in a different direction.

So it remains to be seen whether the developers of Naughty Dog will develop "Uncharted 5" and if so, which story will be told in it.
