The recent setbacks of the International Contemporary Art Fair (Fiac) and Paris Photo, threatened with being ousted from the Grand Palais in favor of international behemoths of the art market and fairs, raise the question with acuity.
To everyone's surprise, the Réunion des Musées Nationaux (RMN), manager of the Grand Palais, announced on 8 December the launch of a call for tenders procedure for the time slots traditionally reserved for Fiac and Paris Photo (the Board of Directors of the RMN-Grand Palais was to make its final choice this week).
