Social networks and especially Instagram can be very misleading at times.
This is reflected in glittering posts that people upload from their vacations with pictures that are sometimes misleading and make us think that their trips around the world are glamorous and perfect.
But Lewis Truman, a travel blogger with thousands of followers, shattered that illusion with videos and photos proving that 90 percent of the photos travelers upload are not as authentic and perfect as they seem and the reality is far less photogenic and sexy.

She then shared a photo of herself and her girlfriend on a volcano in Guatemala.
And again, in reality this trip was not so perfect and she revealed how she had to wear a blue storm suit and protect herself from the rain and harsh weather.

In the third photo, Louise can be seen on the Machu Picchu Mountains in Peru, but in another much less glamorous photo she revealed how she grabbed a nap on the floor and used her bag as a pillow.
"90 percent of the images do not reflect reality as it is," Louise wrote and most surfers agreed with her.
One of them wrote: "It's completely accurate."
