Right-wing extremists want to include the former Saxon royal family in their plans. But the descendant of August the Strong has no interest in this and, according to SPIEGEL information, has announced legal action.

Descendants of the last king of Saxony want the right-wing extremist Free Saxony party to be banned from using one of the royal coats of arms.

The group does this on banners, stickers, and in videos, for example.

Daniel Timo Prince of Saxony Duke of Saxony, member of the once world-famous ruling house of Wettin, descendant of Augustus the Strong, announces legal action.

“A proximity to the royal family is suggested here that doesn't exist.

We don't want to be associated with it," says the 46-year-old, who heads the Wettin forestry department.

The announcement is particularly unfortunate for the Free Saxons, because in the party program they call for the Saxon royal family to be "appropriately involved in shaping Saxony's future".

Daniel von Sachsen assures that the constitution is recognized.

He is 100 percent a Democrat and has no intention of being proclaimed king.

The loyalty to the king from the right outside is completely incomprehensible to him.

"You should look forward, not backward." The last king of Saxony abdicated in 1918, allegedly with the words: "Get rid of your dirt!"
