A company is currently recalling a flour.
Salmonella, which can cause severe symptoms, was found in the product.
Berlin/Kassel – There is currently a food warning for a batch of a flour product.
Salmonella have been detected in organic tigernut flour from Reform Kontor GmbH & Co. KG.

Warning for food: Flour in recall - almost all federal states affected
The company in Zarrentin in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is therefore recalling the 200-gram pack with a best-before date (MHD) of September 14, 2022, as the consumer portal Lebensmittelwarning.de informs.
The food warning for the affected organic tiger nut flour applies to all federal states except Hamburg and Brandenburg.
The goods have already been withdrawn from sale.
According to this, the tigernut flour could be brought back to the respective markets with the MHD mentioned.
Customers will then receive a replacement.
Other batches are not affected by the recall, the warning said.
The company ReformKontor GmbH & Co. KG is recalling the 200-gram pack with a best-before date of September 14, 2022.

Manufacturer recalls organic flour: severe gastrointestinal problems possible
Salmonella can cause diarrhea, abdominal pain, vomiting and fever.
However, the symptoms usually subside after a few days.
More severe disease progressions can occur in infants, small children, the elderly and people with a weakened immune system.
Anyone who develops severe or persistent symptoms should seek medical attention and point out a possible Salmonella infection is recommended.
At the end of 2021, organic tiger nut flour was already under recall.
Here, too, dangerous bacteria were discovered in the product, which can be hazardous to health.
There is another recall for a tomato product.
Consumption is not recommended for health reasons.
