(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 08 - The board of Cementir Holding has examined the preliminary consolidated data for 2021 and has approved the update of the 2022-2024 industrial plan.

2021 closes with "revenues at an all-time record of 1,360 million euros, up 11% compared to 2020".

A historic record also for the gross operating margin, at 311 million, up by 17.9%.

The operating result was up by 25.8% to 197.8 million.

The plan objectives to 2024 envisage "revenues of around € 1.65 billion, a gross operating margin of around 350 million, a net cash financial position of over 300 million", and with "expected growth dividends with payout ratios between 20 and 25% ".

The new plan, "In continuity with the previous one, confirms - indicates the company (Caltagirone group) - a renewed commitment to sustainable growth aiming at mitigating the impact on the environment, product innovation and operational excellence as tools to continue to grow and generate higher returns ".

It is a plan that "is based on five strategic priorities": sustainability, innovation, growth and positioning, improvement of competitiveness, development of people. "It provides for annual investments of approximately 72 million euros; and cumulative 'green investments' of 97 million euros for sustainability projects "which will allow, among other things, a reduction in CO2 emissions in line with the group's objectives".

"2021 marked for Cementir the year of the historical record in revenues and gross operating margin despite the uncertainties linked to the pandemic crisis, the significant increase in energy costs, materials and services and the devaluation of the liraturca", comments the president and to Francesco Caltagirone Jr : "The group - he highlights - has achieved excellent results"; "The new Industrial Plan 2022-2024 will continue to give centrality to ESG issues in our medium-long term strategy, integrating them more and more into the business model and not limiting our commitment to mitigation only impact on the environment ".
