On the 7th birthday, 45 years have passed since his recording debut with 'Jenny' and 'Silvia', 40 years since his first appearance in Sanremo (ANSA)

Vasco Rossi turns 70 on 7 February in a crowd of anniversaries and coincidences.

For example, on January 29th he celebrated the 40th anniversary of his first appearance at the Sanremo festival, that of "Vado al massimo", which reached the final but was among the last, preceded by one place, think a little by Zucchero, and above all that of the microphone left in his pocket and symbolically returned in 2005.

Listen to "Vasco's 70 years, always at the top" on Spreaker.

45 years have passed since his recording debut, "Jenny", which later became "Jenny è pazza" and "Silvia", published on a single produced by a publisher who until then had only handled the production and distribution of plain lines.

Meanwhile at the Sanremo Festival, Rkomi, who is one of the most interesting protagonists of the new music scene, on the evening of the covers proposed a medley composed of three old classics, to underline how the Italian new wave, Gazzelle in the head, has in Vasco his point of reference, just as it happened with the greats of songwriting for previous generations.

Vasco has always told it: musically he is a songwriter, as evidenced by the structure of many of his most beautiful songs that respect the rule according to which a song, when it is beautiful, works well even just acoustic guitar and voice.

The difference is that he has been able to combine this type of inspiration with a rock component, which over the years has gone more and more in the direction of Heavy.

A musical formula, however, founded on absolute credibility because Rock, assuming that there is a univocal definition, is first of all attitude and there is no doubt about Rock attitude towards Vasco.

To fully understand his artistic longevity, the topicality of his music and his ability to be in tune with the times, it is necessary to take into consideration an element that is not frequently evaluated:

Vasco Rossi is a man of sophisticated reading, with a high level intellectual baggage equal to his curiosity, qualities that add to his innate sensitivity.

Behind the light-hearted rocker with direct language there is a man with sophisticated readings and very varied interests who has never been afraid to take a stand even at the cost of paying the price for his ideas.

Suffice it to say that Jenny spoke of depression when it was still the times of the Dark Evil, when still those who suffered from it were not considered a sick person but a madman.

And the examples can be many because deep down among the bubbles there has always been a man who declared to millions of fans that the King is naked.

And the fact that young artists indicate it as a source of inspiration shows that that portrait of the world overturned by the strength of rock '
