"One of the factors of the delay - explained by Open Fiber - is represented by the scarcity of resources available to the executing companies, accentuated by the pandemic in recent months".

In 2021 Open Fiber completed the works in 73 Municipalities in the white areas, "in the course of 2022 - explained the CEO Rossetti - the works will be completed in another 77 Municipalities and the closure of the project will take place in the first half of 2023 with the last 27 Common".

The goal - it was pointed out - is that Marche families, public administrations and businesses recover the digital divide with the rest of Europe through a high-performance and latest generation ultra-broadband network.

The residential real estate units that will be reached by the network are approximately 880 thousand, which will have to be connected by 2026.

"The overall commitment of Open Fiber in the Marche region - Rossetti recalled - is already 176 million euros and, with the gray areas, can reach over 300 million euros".

Remaining within the scope of the numbers, Open Fiber reminds us that “to date in the white areas we have 111 Municipalities in active and passive saleability in FTTH and FWA for a total of 93,953 real estate units available for the activation of the service.

To these - it is explained - is added the binding of 648 offices of the central and local public administration, of which 168 schools.

The value of the BUL plan for the Marche region is 107 million euros ".

There was also talk of black areas, those with the highest population density, in which Open Fiber is present with FTTH network in Fabriano, Macerata, Ancona,

“To these - the CEO said - are added the cities under construction of Senigallia and Civitanova Marche with over 8 thousand bound real estate units.

The total investment at the moment is 47 million euros.

Including the planned investments, the figure increases 69 million euros ”, Rossetti emphasized again.

Who returned to the gray areas, explaining that “Open Fiber intends to participate in all the tenders launched by the Ministry for technological innovation and digital transition”.

"For the Marche region - he added - the call concerns 216 Municipalities for a total of 122,938 civic with a call value of approximately 88 million euros, to which approximately 26 million of private funds (30%) plus 52 million must be added in evaluation on commercial gray ".
