Women and young people are the age groups who are more likely to report side effects they have experienced after receiving Pfizer's third vaccine against the corona.
This is one of the main conclusions of the Survey of Reported Phenomena, conducted by the Corona Virus Information Information Center.
The purpose of the survey, approved by the Helsinki Committee of the Ministry of Health, was to examine the prevalence of symptoms that appeared within 30-21 days of receiving Pfizer's third vaccine (booster dose) among Israelis aged 18 and over.
The survey included 2,049 respondents from three age groups - 39-18, 59-40 and 60 and over - with 51% men and 49% women.
Most of the reports among those aged 18 and over were of local or general symptoms, which passed after a day and up to three days at most.
Neurological, allergic and other symptoms were much less common (about 4%).
However, 10% of women up to the age of 54 who reported other symptoms suffered from menstrual irregularities.
Another conclusion from the survey was that some of the neurological symptoms - tingling, numbness or blurred vision - as well as allergic and other symptoms, appeared in long periods of time from the day of vaccination (up to a month), and that more than one-fifth of those reported seeking medical attention.
From most of the reported side effects, of all types, it can be concluded that the post-vaccine occurrence was not more severe compared to previous vaccines.
