Wine: 25 million to the supply chain to support quality

Agreement reached in the State-Regions Conference on the ministerial decree on interventions for the wine sector, thanks to which 25 million euros are allocated throughout the country. This was announced by the Undersecretary for Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies, Gian Marco Centinaio, referring to the "Fund for the development and support of agricultural, fishing and aquaculture sectors" (ANSA)


Agreement reached in the State-Regions Conference on the ministerial decree on interventions for the wine sector, thanks to which 25 million euros are allocated throughout the country.

This was announced by the undersecretary for agricultural, food and forestry policies, Gian Marco Centinaio, referring to the "Fund for the development and support of agricultural, fishing and aquaculture sectors".

These are resources to develop promotion and information actions, increase the competitiveness of marketing, improve knowledge, safeguard and support the development of PDO and PGI wine products.

It also aims to improve communication on the origin, properties, characteristics and qualities of products with EU recognition.



"These are funds that want to help the supply chain in the post-pandemic not only outside but also within our national borders", specifies Centinaio, "our response to those who would like to put black stickers or alerts on the label is to promote moderate and responsible consumption, and above all quality".

The decree, signed by Centinaio who has the delegation to the sector, provides that they will be able to request funding from protection consortia and temporary associations between the consortia themselves.

As regards the activities that can be financed, information campaigns are included, in particular on the systems of designations of origin and geographical indications;

actions in the field of public relations, promotion and advertising that highlight the high standards of products, in particular in terms of quality,



Also included are participation in international fairs, dissemination, information and training activities aimed at operators in the distribution sector and the Horeca channel and at hotel schools.
