Ten years ago one of the most extraordinary voices of all time disappeared.
It was February 11, 2012 when Whitney Houston, just 48, was found dead in a hotel room in Beverly Hills.
The cause of her death was attributed to accidental drowning in the bathtub following excessive drug use combined with atherosclerosis.
To her credit he had over 200 million albums and singles sold, 6 Grammys and 22 American Music Awards.

But she never showed up.

News of her death spread quickly as Grammy rehearsals were underway at the Staples Center, leaving everyone in disbelief and shock.
Instinctively it was decided to abandon the program for the awards that are considered the Oscars of music and instead turn the evening into a tribute to Houston.
Eventually a compromise was found for an event that honored her memory and at the same time was a musical spectacle.
A few years later in 2015, as if by a twist of fate, the same tragic fate befell her daughter Bobbi Kristina.
The young woman paid the price for both her parents' fame and their drug problems.

Bobbi Kristina was found on January 31, 2015 unconscious in the bathtub of her home.
She was in a coma for six months before dying from complications.
She was on July 26th and she was only 22 years old.
