In Algoda near Alicante, a 15-year-old allegedly shot both parents and his brother.

Last Tuesday, the teenager is said to have gained access to his father's hunting rifle, which was kept in the house.

According to initial investigations, he then shot his mother and then his ten-year-old brother.

When the father came home two hours later, he killed him too.

The youth dragged the bodies to a nearby shed, the police spokesman said.

The 15-year-old is said to have stayed in his parents' house for three days until two aunts came to visit on Friday, to whom he confessed everything, wrote the regional newspaper "Diario Levante".

»Above average emotional coldness«

According to the police, the teenager has now confessed to the crime and was arrested.

During his interrogation, he never showed remorse and demonstrated an "above-average emotional coldness," a spokesman for "El País" quoted as saying.

The acts of violence were presumed to have been preceded by a dispute over poor school grades.

According to unconfirmed reports, the parents threatened to block the 15-year-old's internet access if he didn't improve at school.

The fact that the teenager allegedly refused to help with the field work is said to have led to discord in the family.

The police did not confirm these details when asked - the investigation was not yet complete.
