Berlin – Whatsapp messages have gone unanswered for months?
The suspicion can quickly arise that the other contact might have blocked you on Whatsapp.
You can quickly find out whether this is really the case with the following tricks.
Blocked on Whatsapp: How to see if you've been blocked
The Whatsapp messenger service does not have a function that can be used to determine who blocked you.
Still, there are ways to find out.
The consumer portal
Chip.de
has collected signs that point to this.
Blocked on Whatsapp?
Profile picture or status are no longer visible
Suddenly the profile picture of a Whatsapp contact is no longer visible.
Instead, only the standard image with the outline of a person.
Either this contact just doesn't feel like a profile picture or you have actually been blocked.
A blocking of a contact who posts a lot and frequently in his Whatsapp status is conspicuous and easily recognizable.
Days of silence from that person in status reports may indicate a block.
With this simple trick, individual words or entire parts of sentences can be highlighted on Whatsapp.
Have you been blocked on Whatsapp?
Last online indicator and tick are missing
If you suddenly no longer see the date and time under the name of the saved person when they were last online, this can also be an indication that you have been blocked.
However, Whatsapp also has a feature that allows you to disable this display manually.
So it doesn't automatically indicate a blockage.
Don't ignore the ticks that appear at the bottom of a message after you've sent it.
If only one tick is visible, the message was not delivered to the other person at all.
In addition to blocking, this can also be due to a switched off mobile phone or poor reception.
The message only arrived if there were two ticks.
This new change is available at Whatsapp: It affects the camera function.
