Rewe customers were amazed when they leafed through the new brochure and couldn't help but smile, because there was a curious error.

Munich - Brochures from supermarkets and discounters are actually nothing special.

They provide information about the range, offers and new products.

They also provide the most important information about a product at a glance.

There's not much you can do wrong.

Nevertheless, a small error in the Rewe prospectus caused a laugh.

Rewe brochure confuses vegetables: are they really sweet potatoes?

- Or rather something else?

"What's that," wrote a Rewe customer on the supermarket's Facebook page.

He referred to a find in the Rewe prospectus.

There, 1 kilogram of American sweet potatoes was offered for 1.99 euros at a special price.

Up to this point everything is still normal.

The only problem is that the page the customer posted on Facebook doesn't show sweet potatoes, but something completely different.

Instead of sweet potatoes, there was a bunch of white asparagus.

The question now arises: Was it just the picture that was mixed up or was it accidentally written as sweet potato instead of asparagus?

In fact, this is probably just a false image, because asparagus is rarely for sale in winter.

Rather, the asparagus season is between April and June.

In addition, the prices are also significantly higher than 1.99 euros.

The error is obviously not in the name, but in the picture.

A wrong one was probably inserted.

Rewe brochure confuses sweet potatoes with asparagus - the supermarket responds to customer comments

Rewe itself responded with humor to what the customer found in the brochure.

The Facebook comment was responded to with a GIF of an elderly gentleman glancing back and forth with his mouth slightly open and his eyes wide open.

However, no further explanation was provided.

Other customers also reacted to the brochure error.

"Sweet potatoes, it says there," replied one user ironically.

Another wrote "Ohh... Those are bananas...", whereby the assessment of another customer was as follows: "Rewe loves groceries, but doesn't know their names."
