(ANSA) - BANGKOK, FEBRUARY 12 - The health authorities in Thailand have invited all lovers who will celebrate Valentine's Day to "keep the mask, even during intimate relationships" and to carry out rapid Covid tests before dividing up.
The daily number of coronavirus cases in the Southeast Asian country has risen almost doubled in the past two weeks and health authorities are concerned that Valentine's Day could exacerbate the situation.
"Covid is not a sexually transmitted disease, but is transmitted by the exchange of saliva and breathing close to each other, so we ask couples to wear a mask even during sexual intercourse", said the director of the Bunyarit Sukrat health institute.
