(ANSA) - TUNIS, FEBRUARY 12 - Protest demonstration today near the home of the leader of the Islamic party RachedGhannouchi by the Defense Committee of the martyrs Chokri Belaide Mohamed Brahmi.
Committee members and supporters gathered in Martyr Mohamed Brahmi square in the district of Ghazala (Ariana), where they chanted numerous slogans accusing the Ennahdha and Ghannouchi movement of being involved in the murder of Chokri Belaid and Mohamed Brahmi.
The police, responding to Ennhadha's appeal that he had asked for adequate protection, prevented the group from approaching Ghannouchi's home.
Present several members of the family of the two martyrs including the widow MbarkaBrahmi and her son, Abdelmajid Belaid, brother of ChokriBelaid and some political personalities such as the General Secretary of the Popular Movement, Zouhaier Hamdi and Adnane Hajji.
Brahmi's widow accused Rached Ghannouchi of being involved in the murder of her husband and appealed to all victims of terrorism, security agents, soldiers and families of young people who were deceived and sent into hot spots to stay in alongside the Committee for the Defense of the Martyrs Belaid and Brahmi.
