A 5-month-old baby died this morning (Monday) after suffering from complications of coronary heart disease.
Since birth, the baby has suffered from a severe respiratory illness.
His condition deteriorated after he contracted the virus, and at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem, they tried to save him, but earlier today the corona intensive care unit at the hospital had to determine his death.
Earlier in the day, the health ministry said 31,187 people had been diagnosed with the virus yesterday.
This increased the number of active corona patients in Israel to 251,326.
2,304 of the patients are hospitalized, and the condition of 1,048 of them is severely defined.
9,581 patients have died from corona since the outbreak of the plague in Israel.
