This was stated by the spokesman of the Foreign Ministry of Tehran Saeed Khatibzadeh, according to reports from the agency Irna, after having heard on the phone the chief negotiator for Iran Ali Bagheri Kani currently engaged in Vienna in nuclear negotiations with representatives of Russia, China, France , Great Britain and Germany.

"Now the talks focus on the remaining key questions and sensitive points on which other participants should make political decisions," said Khatibzadeh, with an implicit reference to Teheran's request to remove the sanctions imposed by the US when former President Donald Trump decided to withdraw the signature from agreement of 2015. Since the talks resumed on November 29 in the Austrian capital there have not yet been direct contacts between Washington and Tehran but only an exchange of messages through EU mediation.
