(ANSA) - TURIN, 14 FEB - The 68-year-old from Ivrea was found dead since yesterday afternoon on Mombarone, on the Settimo Vittone side (Turin).
The body was identified in the morning by the mountain rescue and fire brigade teams engaged in the search.
He was in the area where the GPS track recorded by his mobile phone was interrupted, where, according to an initial reconstruction of the accident, the man fell off the path.
It was his wife who gave the alarm late yesterday afternoon.
He is the second casualty of the mountain in the past 48 hours.
Yesterday a 68-year-old from the province of Turin, who was part of a Cai group, died following a fall on Mont Colmet, above Morgex, in the Aosta Valley.
