Russian President Vladimir Putin: Do not give details so as not to complicate the situation

After Russia banned Deutsche Welle from broadcasting in the country, President Vladimir Putin now apparently wants to talk about the subject.
At his meeting with Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) in Moscow, it was agreed "that we should think about how the problem can be solved," said Putin.
He did not want to give any details so as not to complicate the situation.
"In our talks, I also expressed the expectation that Deutsche Welle would continue to be journalistically active in Russia," said Scholz at the joint press conference with Putin.
A correspondent and a cameraman from Deutsche Welle were on the trip from Scholz to Moscow.
The Deutsche Welle office in Moscow was closed two weeks ago after Russia had issued a ban on broadcasting the day before.
Employees had to hand in their accreditations.
Russia's step is a reaction to the fact that the German media regulator had banned the Russian broadcaster RT from broadcasting its German-language TV program linearly.
RT plans to appeal this decision.
